only if you have a very specific redemption in mind and it will be worth it for you.

what date? I'm showing 4.66 on a random date. It's probably some Canadian tax. Checked another Canadian hotel and it was $15 on a random night

Is there a "resort fee" or "parking fee"? those are not waived on SPG award night stays.

is the amex one the best type to get? if yes business or personal ?

Currently, you can only apply for an Amex Spg card. There is a business version, and a personal version. You can get either or both, to fit your needs. Dan has a referral link to the application.

The main difference is the spending threshold

the personal is only 3k
the biz its 5k
