It may not be a hard pull, by logging into my amex account, I got a message on my app that I'm pre-approved but i think it would still show up as a new account which counts towards 5/24... Correct me if I'm wrong
Hard pull and 5/24 are completely separate. Any card that reports to your credit, will count towards 5/24. There may be some exceptions, but thats the general rule, regardless of whether they pull

Even if you aren't staying at one, a drink at the bar can qualify, making it fairly simple.

if you apply again within 90 days of first app it gets flagged
Thank you, I hadn't seen that.

Dan mentioned in DD post yesterday that if  you’re already an Amex customer there’s no hard credit pull, is that something new? (Not been following for a while) Does that mean there’s no point in apporama with amex anymore?
Believe that was only if you don't get approved.

YMMV when approved.
I have 1 pull from Amex total.

I'm confused. If you apply for more than 1 card in a day, of course it's only 1 pull. CMIIW but Dan was saying that by having an Amex card currently open and you apply for a new one and get rejected, you won't get a pull.

Correct. If you are an Amex customer you may not get a pull regardless but YMMV. I have only been pulled for my fist card, and have never been declined.

If you get declined you almost certainly won't get a pull. Even if you get approved there's a good chance that they still won't pull.

I love the way amex gives an option to print a card to use online on the spot. I got all my spend done and didn't even get the card yet.

"Very Rich Signup bonus coming"....

I doubt it will be starpoints otherwise why would they have taken away the current starpoints bonus must be they aren't offering starpoints anymore so it must mean more statement credit IMO

I missed that part.

So Essentially $100 unless you go a hotel.

That sucks :(
