If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Visa / MC GC will work for the bonus? Or just like the sign up bonuses, GC,s will not count?

it is the same product. But you can get the SPG luxury card. That is considered a different product

Does it make sense to start using the SPG card for gas purchases at 4 Marriott pts./$ ?
I have Amex cash that gives $0.03/$ and chase ink that gives 2 UR pts/$

I've been trying to figure out for a while. It says clearly that spending your Amex SPG card at SPG/Marriott properties will get you 2 points per dollar spent. My question is, will elites be rewarded more through their cc?

I know, previously, prior to the merger,  platinum members would get 3 points per dollar.

elite points have nothing to do with CC

wrong. They received 5 PPD (or 6 for plat 75) and again it has nothing to do with using your card. Anyone got 2 SPG per dollar spent at SPG hotels prior to the merger and you now get 6 Marriott points per dollar so that is the same.

I'm speaking from experience. its normally 2 points per dollar at starwood properties. but Platinum received an additional point.

nothing to do with using your SPG card. If you read what I wrote you will see that everything is correct
