what's the deal with amex cards for people with no income on the books ? I want the starwoods and the spg biz .  Are there certain cards that are not a good idea

Try putac, I was able to get 3k from a supervisor that way. And Super Speed says he got 4k from them. All this even though ppl having a hard time w the chat.

How/when are the points posted to my account, when I pay my bill or even when it's paid it won't post until I get my next bill?

If I return something will I get points for the purchase ( probably not )?

If I pay a part of my bill within the cycle will I get any points for the paid off part?

If I pay my bill through chase bill pay ( or however it's called ) it posts to my account as a credit not as a payment, so would I get points for that amount being it's listed as credited back not as paid off?

As noted above, really hard to get anything from chatting with Amex reps. It seems that you have to putpac.
This was my experience with them today. (and of course no more SM, it directs you to chat. Tried a few times to get around it)

That's right, you don't get the points to your acct until payment clears; so there is yet another benefit for paying early if you in a rush to get points.
