The credit report doesn't show the correct account closure date, its usually delayed with a few months.

Love me or hate me. I still love you.

I haven't seen any recent activity on the whole churning Amex SPG with a blank or new SPG account number recently.  Most recent posts were from 2012.  Anybody have any recent experience?

When downgrading SPG to a blue cash, what happens to the extra year warranty on purchases made with the SPG?
I confirmed it with multiple reps on the phone that the warranty remains as long as you have an Amex account open, personal or business card.

CMIIW but due to the new T&C you can only be approved for a card of the same product 12 months after your last one...technically not churnable anymore

Dan loves his Starwood card, because starpoints can transfer to other programs with a bonus. Anyone prefer spending on other cards like the BA card where Spending 30,000 equals a companion ticket

If I understand correctly:
SPG  could be downgraded into a Blue Cash.
How long does it need to be open in order to have them convert?

Then you need to wait a year in order to get the sign up bonus again? (with a new SPG acct #)

If you have personal could you get the business sign up bonus? if yes do you need a new SPG acct #?
I only paid 15% by switching to dansdeals

I applied for both SPG cards (BIZ & PERS) in my last 3BM last week Tuesday, got approved instantly for the personal, and was approved today for the BIZ, with 2 pulls that is... I don't know how some of you here claim to get it both with one pull, that seems to be next to impossible

For you  :)

IIRC that companion ticket comes with insane fuel surcharges, as it can only be used on BA metal.

I guess it's not normal, Amex sent me a "name change authorization" PDF file to fill out,

the rep on phone was also curious about me having 3 different SPG credit cards all associated with the same SPG rewards account, and advised me to call Starwood and see with them if I can run into any problems.?!

Do you really need to wait 12 months? I believe dan said you can just use a new SPG #

Just tried applying for the business card - received a message saying that their systems are down. Anyone else receive? Should I just resubmit?

It was the first application that I tried. So I guess I will try the 2BM later.

Just did a 2BM for the SPG BIZ and Personal- instant approval on the personal and the biz app told me to call in. i called and the rep told me that since it was done on the same day, its considered a duplicate app and its on hold for 4-5 business days now. question now is, should i call back in 4-5 days and risk getting pulled again, or let it be and wait for the decision in the mail? either way, they will prob want to pull my CR again...would they email me in 4-5 days to let me know im approved/declined? or is it only done by mail?
