Just did a 2BM for the SPG BIZ and Personal- instant approval on the personal and the biz app told me to call in. i called and the rep told me that since it was done on the same day, its considered a duplicate app and its on hold for 4-5 business days now. question now is, should i call back in 4-5 days and risk getting pulled again, or let it be and wait for the decision in the mail? either way, they will prob want to pull my CR again...would they email me in 4-5 days to let me know im approved/declined? or is it only done by mail?

That's odd, because i did a 2BM for the Biz and Personal yesterday and had the same thing as you, instant approval on the personal and I was told to call in for the Biz. So I called in and the guy told me that they asked me to call in just to verify that it was really me that applied for the card and after a couple questions I was approved instantly and the card was sent to me via 2nd day air and should be here tomorrow.

Does the SPG Business card's credit limit get reported on my credit score? They gave me a high limit and I plan on keeping this card open for a long time so I hope so.

***I ask because this business card actually has a credit limit, unlike the Biz Gold I have which is a charge card and has no pre-set limit.

Oh, well that stinks. An extra 17.5K would be nice to have factored into my credit utilization ratio.

That's true, but on the bright side, you can rack up a huge balance on this one card and keep a low debt per credit ratio on the cards that get reported, for a better score...

-1, it will always for Chase, not for Amex

Don't you read Dan's posts?

Yeah, but I usually pay off the majority of my balances before my statements close (thanks for the tip Dan :)), so it's not a huge deal either way.

Interesting and good to know (don't think I've ever seen someone report success on it though)

And probably not going to happen in the near future.
