He's talking about a biz card.

I get that, but my point is that my credit utilization on my consumer cards is already low because I pay most off my bill off before the statement closes, so in the end of the day it won't help me much to ring up most of my spending on the Starwood biz card.

well i am currently having the same situation as arig and from what im reading here seems like most ppl are experiencing the same. i guess you just got plain old lucky
had the same thing, I was sent an email 5 days later that it was approved . When I called Amex it sounded like I was approved but they weren't letting it go through till the security dept let it go, they hold the app just to make sure that it was you that applied and not someone else. My assumption from my conversations with recon dept was that if they weren't going to approve me they would tell right away.

I have business SPG AMEX and my wife has personal. A rep told me that we cant get the 30k bonus since we have open cards, even if I get the personal or she gets business. I understand that a different address and spg # would be a work around but Dan answered a question that:

"No need to open a separate SPG number for consumer and business. Every SPG number can get the bonus from a consumer and business card."

Is the rep wrong? Or perhaps you can get the bonus for both if you apply for both - not if you have one already?

thanks

When in doubt , trust Dan. Yes it does work no need for a new spg number.

Why do people keep asking reps? When the info is all laid out here. Boggles my mind.

Transfers aren’t instant, and might take up to 4 weeks, most times however, it will take 2 to 12 days to complete but YMMV

Called reconsideration for an SPG card that was declined on the spot, and just got an email now saying it was approved!!! Good times! Btw does anyone know if I'll get the 30K offer or the offer that I applied with which is 25K? (I was told I needed a new pull, if that makes a difference.)

You'll get the offer you applied with I imagine. Send then an SM.
