I applied for both Biz and Personal no instant approval...
Should i call or wait?
What are my chances? I have a PRG for almost 2 years active, that's my only Amex card to have
Should i apply for a third card?

I currently hold an SPG card that has been open for about 3 years. I applied for a new one and got instant approval. Both of these cards are personal. I know that there is the 12 month rule but I took a chance to try and see if I could still get the bonus. I was curious, should I link this new card to my current Amex account or create a new one, does this add to the chances of getting the bonus?

Also, when I received the card it read that I was a new account for SPG.

The new SPG number is what might help you. I don't think linking the card will have any adverse affect, IMHO.

Same thing with me, my SPG business says member since '13. My SPG consumer is backdated to '92 which is the when I opened my first Amex charge card.

But it makes no difference if they backdate your business cards. They don't show up in your credit report so it doesn't help your average age anyway.

When it says I'm only allowed to a certain numbers of AUs on my card, is that real or can I get around that? Also will they allow me more AUs for a fee, if yes how many?

Just got my first SPG business.  The agreement states: "Eligible purchases do NOT include: ....purchases or reloading of prepaid cards.." Is this something new?  Does that mean no VRs or MVDs? :(

Nothing to worry about.

Nothing to worry about.

Why don't you disclose the whole truth though? Amex is a lot more touchy than other lenders and multiple, big purchases at CVS could trigger a financial review. This isn't Chase. You have to go easy.

Huh?
The question was not whether "multiple, big purchases at CVS could trigger a financial review"

The question was whether VR's or MVD's are counted as eligible purchases. The answer is, yes they are.

Thanks to both for responding but, if I may...Jaywhy is right he answered my question but, Freddie is more right.  As a noob in this, the extra info is very important to know.  And, strictly speaking, if AMEX is so touchy then there is what "to worry about" unless you don't agree.

That you will get points for buying VR's, MVD's et al is uncontested, regardless of whatever it says in the terms.
Would it make you two happy if I rephrased my answer to "you will get the points"?

There are plenty of things to look out for when playing the MS game. May I suggest that you, as a "noob"  spend some time reading though the various threads here and Dan's comprehensive posts to familiarize yourself with the risks before you start playing the game.

There are plenty of people here who will help you out, but you can't expect that an answer to a simple question will contain every caveat that you need to know.

I am already happy that you cared to answer my question. Thank you again. I have spent much time reading these threads and Dan's posts.  Didn't see anything about Prepaids/eligibility and Amex so all of the info was valuable. There are so many threads and so many posts even with specific searches there is still so much to go through.

Wow. First report of an Amex match in a while IIRC. Maybe they are loosening up...
