I just went ahead and charged $5000 on the card, i'm going to wait a month and see what happens

  Called to get AF waived or GW ( or better het cxld and CL moved ) on my Amex SPG biz , And they told me I had gotten $35 already 2 months ago.

They tried to talk me into Simply Cash  5 -3 1% cash back card no pull no AF ever. Told them
Would sleep on it .
Any downside / upside to converting ?

Hey, I would appreciate if you guys could help me with this.

1 - If I spent $5,000 (to get 30,000 SPG points) but did the $30 back by Shoprite (on both my card and the AU card), so my bill is $4,940, does that count as $5,000 in spending or $4,940?

2 - To meet the spending threshold, does all the spending have to be done on the primary cardholder's card or do purchases on the AU's card count too?

I recently had such an experience and I contacted AMEX they told that the Statement Credit counts like a Merchant Credit so I had to spend that amount again!!

I guess I'm going to spend another $60 to be safe.
As for the "Telzer Chakirah"; both my spouse and I did a 3bm, so there is a lot of spending to be done and everything makes a difference.

what did the link have to do with a starwood card??, he is speaking of the mb plat card being treated now as the basic/ original plat that has a $450 fee as far as sign up bonus -- at one time u could get a bonus for each
