screen shot?

When I take mine, I include the date on the bottom bar of my computer.
No screen shot.
But I could create one.   ;)

Why do you need an increase? 8k CL is really like a 100k CL for the month.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

I thought spending your CL more than once a month was a risk for FR.

IIRC it was discussed as a potential AA risk not a FR risk. CMIIW

Its definitely an f/r risk.
But an f/r is usually not too bad.

While on this topic... Dan, I asked you during the break at DDS CLE what to do about the fact that AMEX gave me a puny 2k CL on my SPG. You didn't really have any eitzos for me at the time. Now that you are not standing on one foot...

What do I do if I have 21 (!) years of unbroken history of on-time payments with AMEX? Problem is that 21 yrs is on a charge card with no CL. I've been rejected for a credit increase and I requested recon which is currently pending. How can I use SPG for everyday spend (as you recommended at the seminar) when my CL is tiny?

The question is how big of a risk. I have been doing it for a long time so my guess is it did not trigger my FR.

How do you know which factors triggered your FR?

As I said then, you can prepay and churn through the line as long as you filed a tax return showing income.

You never know for sure so you go off what data points you have. We have a laundry list of triggers for a FR from Amex. Many have violated the whole list numerous times and have not received a FR. I was one of them until recently. To say that churning your CL is the reason I received a FR would be a stretch. My theory is the biggest reason one gets FR’d is the credit profile of the individual. While triggers A, B or C will get person #1 a FR they have no bearing on person #2.

My wife recently got an F/R for making one purchase that used most of her CL.
A fortiori...

Correct but let it post before you pay it off. Many here will tell you this will cause a FR. IMHO and IME this is not the case. Other more important factors are at work that causes this. If just received your first Amex card and plan on churning your CL 10x the first month then you should expect a FR. Also if you were truthful on your app a FR is actually a good thing.

PSA: Please only try this if you have a long credit history. I would hate to see anyone shutdown.

Why?
The belief is that if you churn your CL it will/can result in FR. Logic would seem to dictate that you are now on their radar and if you do it again they will shut you down. IME the opposite is true. You can now churn your CL even more times a month over at least the next year.

According to what you're saying, if I got an FR and passed. I'm good to go for "spending" on AP?

AP is it's own risk, so follow the AP best practices. But as far as Amex is concerned, you should be OK.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.
