Maybe PM/email Dan
When I click on the link it shows the 25k offer, so can't figure what happened. What can I do to get those points?

I cannot help you, but don't give up. Try to call AMEX again (and again) tell them the link says 25k. Take a snap shot of it and email it in to them from your account.

Unbelievable what HUCA can do! Yesterday's rep and sup were sooo nasty and not accommodating. Tonight I spoke to a nice rep and she said that points will post within 30 days and if not call back and they'll post them immediately.

This might be a total n00b question, but how on earth do people manage to amass the sheer number of points it takes for, e.g. a first class flight to TLV? (let alone more than one if you are traveling) - I get the signup bonus gets you a good chunk of 25K but short of paying day school tuition on the card (I don't have any kids yet so not relevant) how do you get into the 100k range? Or is this actually something that people typically save up points from spending for years and years etc.?

Applying for Personal and Business, a year later rinse and repeat, = 120,000 miles.

Also CVS sells VR.

So it sounds like you need to close & reopen the amex account then? Doesn't that hurt your credit score with the repeated opening and closing of credit accounts? I see a lot of people saying that the SPG is a generally good spending card, so how does one manage to keep it around as that with all the churn?

Also I don't quite know what VR is but with some basic searching it sounds like it's Vanilla Reload, presumably some sort of prepaid card? Does that mean essentially you buy this prepaid card with the Amex (presumably with some large denomination to maximize SPG points)?

Thanks in advance!

you get 30k SPG points for this card (25k bonus + 5k for spending = 30k)

So, if you open a business and a personal credit card, you got 60k.

Now, if your significant other does the same, your total SPG points will be 120k!

I suggest you read about everything here.
