Welcome to the forums. We like to search before asking, but definitely before starting a new thread, so thanks for at least finding the right thread. Just look one post up from what you wrote and you'll see that there are no more affiliate links with AMEX. Not for Dan, not for anyone.

YMMV. I know people that got bumped up, I tried twice and didn't.
I know 1 perk is getting upgrades if available.

well right now i have a has advantage and im not getting much from that. i spend about 250000 a year on the card. what card do you suggest i switch to?

But ideally, you should always be using new cards to hit the spending thresholds on each.
