what should i do about a chip? My printer i bought a yr ago has a faulty chip situation and won't read even the right chip.

here are requirements..
want it to be a laser printer- and it cant be huge..
do they make such a thing?
and i need to purchase it in staples as well- so they need to sell it.. but also want a good price
