My parents got a hp printer with eprint app (from best buy) a while ago and no one there can figure out how to get it to work from iPad etc.. Anyone have experience with this?

With an inkjet it costs more in the long run.

Depends where you are getting your ink. I have an inkjet for a few years and I pay less than a dollar a cartridge.

I'm assuming you buy generics, but still, where do you get them for under $1??

Make sure iPad and printer both connected to same wifi...then open a document up in the app and print to the available printer on network aka YOURS

Yes, that is part of eprint. You have to press the eprint icon on the printer screen and it will give you an email address. Whatever you email to that address will be printed
