Question: According to NYS law, is a patient entitled to request and keep his/her dental x-rays?
I went to a dentist, got a full checkup, and he took quite a few x-rays (paid for by insurance).
At the end of the appointment, when I asked if I can please have the x-rays, he said that according to the law he is not allowed to give them to me.
Now, to me that sounds like one huge load of baloney, but I better not assume.
Is anyone familiar with what the law really says?
Can our DDF resident dentist @ushadude chime in?
TIA!
