Hey guys-
I'm not sure if this was specific to me... but last week, I was checking the citicards.com website on my 3 Citi credit cards for any credit line increase offers. This is an option on the website and is a little tricky as you have to go into the specific page for each of the cards individually. Under one of the top tabs - 'tools and services' - there is sometimes an option to request Credit Line increases. I have always checked them periodically...not to request a line increase (as it would be a hard pull) but to see if they volunteer any updated increases. This time 2 of my cards had them...
Citi Dividends
$8500 --> $9500
Citi Diamond Preferred
$8700 --> $9700
Both of these were personal cards.
I also have a Citi professional card which did not receive any offer (probably because its under a different wing - citi business?)
Anyway, always worth it to take a look...it even said that my line increase did not require any credit pull whatsoever.
As far as my spending goes, I used to the dividends a ton when it gave 3% on gas/groceries/pharm...but no more. So it just sits there and gets used for 10-30 bucks in a month maybe twice a year. I have a credit score of about 760.
So take a look for yourselves...maybe there's aline increase in it for you too.
