Does anyone know the refund policy on BA Avios bookings?

Free within 24hrs, $40/taxes online, phone fee of $30. Cannot refund within 24 hrs of flight.

I've had success cancelling tickets within 24hrs, but u need real excuses.

What do you mean $40/taxes? Is that plus whatever taxes where charged on ticket?

I'm looking at Avios reward ticket to from LAG to Detroit which is 9000 + $5 in fees. Are you saying that if I cancel I will only have to pay the $5; and all the points will be refunded? Thanks.

i tried MANY times online, the option to cancel is ALWAYS grayed out, when you click on it, it says this option is unavailable etc.
Please contact your local ba office

What type of flight are you talking about? How long before the flight did you try to cancel?

I've had no problems with such flights.
I've encountered much more roadblocks booking/cancelling "bigger" tickets.
Was wondering if there's a pattern or do I attribute it to their faulty website or a mix of both..

I wonder this as well.
It might be good to compile a list with people's experiences about this to try to figure out their "unwritten policies" a bit more to the T..
