Shabbat Lights

Does anyone know of inyan to use oil and not candles for shabbas?  Also, when  I was at store they sold these colored lamp oil bottles for shabbos -they said that we should use these expensive wick cups with it.  Does anyone know if those wicks are neccs. with lamp oil?  Thanks need to know whether I should use shabbos or return and get candles/

We use a candle with oil poured into it as well and many times they last until the end of Shabbos.

there are other places too but you can see here (resh samech daled,beis) that he brings down specifically for olive oil though all the actual gm says is being careful with lighting (shabbos 23b)
