That's 60% more upload bandwidth than my 500.

In NYC optimum upload is officially 2Mbps.
I have optimum in NYC, did a speed test yesterday and got 2 up and 2 down. (On my mobile now). I should be getting more then two down with cable, no? Perhaps because I live in a building?

Cable can slow down during the peak evening time.

Some DSL/FIOS. With cable you're sharing a line with your whole neighborhood, so the more people on at a certain time, the slower it will go
