I took them in the past for 150. At one point (the guy claims) they were even 120.

Yes, I remember 120 (I didn't use them at the time, but they were new then).

You get what you pay for ..... They once sent me a driver whO said I had to pay an extra 30 shekel because of his Mercedes chadash ... I called the Daka office they said the price is whatever the driver says

But within Daka there are a couple of good drivers I use who I call personally and they charge me the Daka rate

That's life in Israel, it might not be your speed, they might be crooks, etc. but get used to it

True dat. If you can't bear the heat than Israel's ain't for you. I had my own experience with Daka90. The driver refused to come around to the back of my building where I wouldn't have to shlep my suitcases up 3 flights of stairs even though it was literally a 10 second drive...

You all seem to be saying it's Israel and so you must deal with it when just the opposite is true. Yes, it's Israel so these things are going to happen which is why YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO STAND UP FOR YOURSELF one way or another otherwise you won't survive.

One of my proudest moments was watching my aidel reserved sister talking back to the taxi driver and refusing to pay him more when he was trying to cheat her with the cab fare.

I dont know why anyone would pay the taxi guy before taking out your luggage. It happened to me also, I knew he would ask for more then they told me on the phone so I took out my luggage gave him exact $$ and told him bye! He started screaming for more so I told him sorry this is how much they told me on the phone, you gota speak to them.

I didn't end up getting the 5 shekel. Twas many years ago. Just saying its extremly annoying to have some rip u off, but fighting will often just make everything worse.
