If you are looking for relaxing - maybe Palm Springs area - Hyatt Grand Champions in Indian Wells.  Beautiful pools.  We went a few weeks ago and had such a relaxing lovely weekend.

any places with beautiful white beaches and crystal blue waters? Or is that only in Hawaii?

If you can go to the Caribbean- this quote= Turks and Caicos.

Some other places with very nice beaches are Cape Cod and South Carolina (both coincidentally good places if you like golf).

Maybe USVI or Puerto Rico ?

Nice activities, beaches and scuba/snorkel opportunities.

Puerto Rico has a rain forest ( I think the only one in the USA) and also 2 bio luminescence bays which are really cool and rare as well. The plankton in the water light up when you move the water. They have kayak tours at night to see it. Real good!

How do you get a group of lawyers to smile for a picture?

A: Just say "Fees!"

For continental US options, I would vote for the following:

Four Seasons -- Santa Barbara, CA
Ritz Carlton -- Laguna Nigel, CA
St. Regis - Monarch Beach, CA

All are magnificent hotels, beaches, settings, etc.  Santa Barbara is probably the nicest place in the US I have ever visited...just a very pretty little city/town...
