chase 6 month rule

Does the chase 6 month waiting rule apply to debit cards as weell as credit cards? Meaning if you applied for a credit card would you need to wait 6 months to apply for a debit card or is there no connection?

I don't know about the waiting rule to begin being that within a 6 month period I got a continental cc a British airways cc and a continental debit card all from chase! Go figure!
