They're not flying on your route (..yet?)

My Top 10:

1) CX F 747
2) SQ R A380
3) CX F 777
4) LX F A340
5) QF F 747
6) LH F 747
7) AA F 777
8 ) CX J 777
9) UA J 777
10) US J A330

I think that I'm the only one here who has experienced  CX F (777+747) and SQ F/R (747+A380+777) and EK F (A380) and I would say that when traveling alone CX is best but as a couple its SQ A380 by a mile. EK has the shower and bar but is otherwise not so amazing.

You experienced SQ R with kosher champagne, wine, and food.  Plus you went on a much longer haul that I did on it.  There's a decent chance that with that I'd be singing a different tune :D
The experience of the couples suite is very cool though, I do want to try it again.

You have to admit that the SQ R seat choice is bizzare, no?
Is the SQ F or J seat better?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I didn't love the fact that it didn't recline a ton, but it was made up as a bed 90% of the time and we had meals in another suite so it didn't really matter.

If I recall, the SQ C&F seat have the same issue

I can't deal with the whole "Rules & Restrictions" garbage that I get from CX when I want to talk on my phone during takeoff or use a rear facing carseat. In First Class, one should be able to do whatever they want and most airlines understand that.

I guess that's all I'm getting?

While it makes it sound mysterious and all, it doesn't really help the klal or anything :)

Did you also manage to snag SQ R for two at Saver rates?

They don't officially give Champagne/Wine but email them or call and hope for the best

Of course if the "Klal" starts abusing it like everything else good, I doubt it'll last very long

Yes, but I doubt that I could pull it off again. Was a series of events

Why listen to me and Dan anyways, @ELALUSA just tweeted this "definitive" list: bit.ly/UAkZHO

Apparently Virgin Atlantic now has First Class as well

1.
SQ 380>CX 747: Service. "Coolness" factor of being in a couples suite.
CX 747>SQ 380: Seat comfort. Bed comfort. Nose of the plane seating. Pajamas. Scotch.

2.
AA 777 F makes it into a bed for you, gives pajamas, and you can dine together. CX does not.
Both were lie-flat.

3.
US service and food just stinks.  However if you are traveling alone you'll want US.  My rankings are all as a couple.

Lucky on the SQuite:

"The seat felt a bit like a dentist’s chair and I didn’t actually find it great for lounging. The issue is that it only reclines very little, and if you want to put it in the bed position you have to flip the back over."

FM on the SQuite:

"My only quibble was that the seat itself was uncomfortable when in the upright position.  There was something hard under the cushion.  It was so prominent that when I first sat down I actually thought I had sat on the seatbelt."

The SQuite is awesome, but it's just a shame the seat itself isn't better.  It's why I give a very slight nod to the CX 747.

It seems there are no F 10/10s...

CX 777 and 747 = no (real) suite.
SQ A380 = hard seat and SQ 777 = no suite.
EY A340 = no Asian-level service.
EK A380 = no Asian-level service.
BA = just a joke for F, IMHO, no suite, cramped as h*ll.
LX = no suite and no Asian-level service.
LH 747 (with bed) = very close, as the service seems to be good, and the bed is apparently very comfortable, but no suite.
TG 777 = Asian service, but not on par with CX or SQ, but has suite with doors, so this is close too, I guess.
OZ 777 = same reason as above, it seems.

etc etc

True.
Are you referring to the new or old BA F? I've never flown BA.

I think a couple sitting in the nose of a CX 747 is the best possible F situation.
