I've been in the new LH F, and even though I can't make any comparisons - since the only other F I've flown was UA 777 - I must say it was awesome. Very comfortable and very nice.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Anything will be awesome compared to UA F.
Fly F on CX/JL/KE/NH/OZ/SQ to really be blown away.

EF F over CX F?
I know it's a suite, but CX probably had better service, KSML, seat, and bed comfort, no?

I'm not entirely sure what to say, but both my wife and I were just blown away by EY F.

--the service was great (though my wife's FA was better than mine)
--the doors really added to our comfort, e.g. I was able to daven in full garb without feeling uncomfortable, and sleep without feeling like we were "out in the open."
--we brought our own chinese food which they were more than happy to heat up for us, which automatically means it was the best "airplane food" we ever had.
--I don't think I've slept better on a plane than I did on EY F, though CX does come close.

IIRC when you flew CX F it was JFK-YVR and EY F was JFK-AUH, so right there you can't really compare.

You're right on the routings, but I can't say I'm unqualified to say how I slept on a 6+ hour flight. Yes, it ain't 14 hours, but, it isn't 4 either.

Says you.

Normal flight time on JFK-YVR is about 5.5 hours (as compared to about 4.5+ YVR-JFK)

My flight time, with strong headwinds, was 6+.

Gonna have to concur, need to be on a plane for 12+ hours to properly review the ability to eat, drink, watch a movie, change into PJs, and get a full nights sleep.

AKL-SIN-Europe where AKL-SIN is on 777 and SIN-Europe is on A380?

or

AKL-SYD-SIN-Europe where both SYD-SIN and SIN-Europe are on A380, but where I need to travel from AKL-SYD?

In other words, is it worth it to fly from AKL-SYD to have Suites twice vs non-stop AKL-SIN where it's regular F on 777?

Can you stopover in SYD for a night?

Yes, or even longer. I'd use Avios AKL-SYD/MEL etc.

I wouldn't stay longer as you'll probably need the full 2 weeks to do NZ properly.  Save AU for another trip.
A night there at the PH would be nice though.

So, you're saying it's worth going AKL-SYD to get SQuites x2 if I can stay in PH Sydney for a night, but otherwise no ("reg" SQ F and SQ R)?

All I'm saying is that the PH SYD is good incentive for that option.
