AA economy ticket to Israel with Miles ?

If I book a economy flight with AA points to fly to Israel. Can I pay extra for a upgrade for Business? How do you go about it? what would it cost?

You would need to void your original ticket and use your miles for the class you want. You can not upgrade with money unless you are flying on El Al and do an on board upgrade once boarding is complete.

Centurion just told you how much the on board upgrade would be. $700 on El Al once boarding is complete and they have a seat available.

I was lucky 2 out of 3 times with the business class upgrade and I did a first class upgrade once.

Does El Al still offer business class seating for $250 if cabin is empty?

Your economy ticket would need to be a Y or B class ticket and on a flight "operated" by American Airlines.
