Stopover on Delta award?

I remember hearing that Delta still allows a free stopover on its award tickets in North America.  Does anyone know if that is correct and if so how to go about booking such a ticket?

Delta allows a stopover, but i think only at one of their hubs (ATL, CVG, DTW, JFK, LAX, MEM, MSP, SLC)

Using the multi-city option?  When I try that it tells me that it's 37,500 miles.

No no, just a regular search, but they give sometimes options that have a huge layover.
