Lufthansa Airbus a330-300 Business Class

Hi,

I am flying in a few weeks on lufthansa airbus a330 business class and wanted to know how does it compare to the Lufthansa A380 Business Class.

I have the option to switch but would need to pay the $75 surcharge to change it so close.

If it were me I'd be tempted to do it. I've been waiting for a chance to ride the A380.
I believe the A380 has lie-flat seats and the a330 doesn't.

I guess it's probably not worth the $$ to switch unless you have some great desire to experience the A380 right now!! Otherwise hopefully you'll catch it on a different flight and save your $.

Thanks I most probably will follow your advise, I just wanted to know if anybody flow both planes and saw a major difference, I am guessing it will feel the same way the Lufthansa A340 Business Class

Some of Lufthansa's new Airbus A330's have the new lie flat business class seats that are on Lufthansa's new 747-8. A380 Business class seats are not lie flat so you will not gain by going on the A380. You have only to win by going on the A330.

I just looked into which plane Lufthansa uses for that route. Recently they have been using an A330-300 Reg:D-AIKE. That aircraft is over 7 years old so most likely it has the same business class seats as the A380 which are not lie flat. A380 is a cool experience though.

If I had not flown the A380 yet I would do it because I am a complete aviation obsessed nut case.
