A Zal is where you go for 3 years after about 3 years of mesivta.
As you can see most places are called by their city except:
Oholei Torah and Chovivei Torah which are on Eastern Parkway in CH.
YOEC=Yeshiva Ohr Elchonon Chabad in LA, which was given by R' Simcha Wasserman to R' Ezra Schochet, a gaon who went through the litvisher system and then became chabad.
Toras Emes=J'lem.
Motown=Morristown, NJ.
Brunoy is near Paris.

It's post zal/yeshiva-gdola. In fact many of the Kvutza guys from this year ('72) are post-smicha too.
