I am having the same issue as
azhoopsfan although on a much much smaller scale. I originally added miles to my account with this
DDMS posted promotion back in Sept 2014 so I should be able to transfer Avios between my BA and Iberia account without having to wait 3 months. When I got the email a few weeks ago that my points are expiring I transferred a few over with the intention of thereby avoiding the expiration.
- Will the 0 balance in my account mean that I am no longer able to transfer from BA? Or once the transfer option is activated it lasts?
- If I add new points from Amex or BA what will be the expiration date? If they don't consider transfers as activity, will they automatically expire as soon as the are added to the account?
