I'm dying to eat fleishigs tonight. Does anyone know of someone making a siyum in Brooklyn or the city tonight ?Or else if anyone wants to make a siyum for me I'll take u out to Le Marais!

Great idea. Though I'm not sure if its halachically allowed.

Very not allowed.

See Mishna Berura Taf Kuf Nun Aleph:73

You are only allowed to eat meat by a siyum if:
A) You were anyway up to finishing during the 9 days and didn't rush or slow down to 'happen' to finish then.
B) You normally make a seuda when you finish a mesechta
C) You can only invite people that you normally invite to a siyum.

Many camps used to make mass siyumim totally shelo Kehilchasa and many have now stopped doing it.

seriously? did u not just have fleishigs yesterday? it seems like its sumthin that u cant have so u want much more... chillax

I had a teacher in mesivta who before a fast, if anyone would tell him to have an easy fast, he would tell us not to say that. "the harder it is, the bigger the שכר is" on that note, if it really is that difficult for you not to eat meat for a couple days, perhaps that's the point. we're supposed to be mourning the destruction of the beis hamikdash...

can of worms? Chabad's minhag is to hear a siyum, but to nonetheless not eat meat.

doesnt shomer shabbos in brooklyn have a siyum every night 8 9 and 10 pm? i was there last year one night for mincha and i think that is what the guy called out!

The Lubavicher Rebbe was of the opinion that we should hear a siyum every day during the 9 days nothing to do with being able to eat meat, etc. Rather, to bring more light into the days of darkness. Read more about it here

keep in mind, this year 4 of the 9 days are a Friday night or Shabbos. Leaves only 5 nights of forced milchigs.

Yes but a whole week, 5 night in a row... that's a little more tough than most years.

I can't believe people make a big deal about 5 days of not meat.
I love meat as much as the next guy, but it's just not a big deal, there are just so many awesome milchig dishes, no reason to feel deprived.
