HI, I currently live in Israel and I am coming back to the states soon. I wanted to visit Hawaii sometime throughout my trip but dont know how to work it out the best with my miles. I would like to go from israel to la and i need to be in la for 2 weeks, I then want to go to Hawaii, then on to NY and stay in NY for about 4 weeks before returning to Israel. I have BA and United miles. What are my options to best maximize the useage of my miles (both in economy and buisness). Any info on the matter would be really appreciated!! Thanks SO much in advance!!

Easiest would be to book a United ticket to LAX with NY as a stopover, then use BA to book a LAX-Hawaii-LAX ticket.

well if he doesnt want to go back to lax he can book tlv-lax-HI(openjaw)  nyc-tlv then separately book HI-nyc

I would do with *A, TLV-LAX (stopover)-HNL (dest)-NYC (OJ), PHL-TLV.  80K Y, 120K J.

Or with AA it's easy, TLV-LAX (stopover)-HNL (dest)-NYC (stopover)-TLV. 90K Y, 135K J.

IME they did not allow the OJ to work as a second stop - the only periods of time on the ground more than 24 hours that they allowed were the 1 stopover and the destination. Any other flights could only have up to 24 hours between them. You have a way around that?

Put in the extra segment, then after it tickets call in to remove the segment u don't want and change the dates of what u do want

-1, unless I'm missing something here... I kept on hitting a brick wall with those guys. They kept on not wanting to do things for me (even simple stuff like OJs), and kept saying "we're not Reservations, we're Web Support. If you need help with that, I can transfer you to Reservations".

Maybe I got a few bad apples?
