Palm Centro Q
« on: July 24, 2012, 08:48:01 AM »
Will the device charge from a usb hotsync cable? I plugged it in and the green light went on though the device wont turn on...does it just need a while to charge up or is the charger the only way?

TIA

It will charge only if there was some life to it before you plugged it in. However if the green light went on I think that your palm might be fired.

Let it charge for a couple hours, if nothing happens then try doing a warm reset and then a hard reset if necessary.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Warm reset is holding the up button (on the 5 way pad), take the battery out, put the battery back in, and keep holding the up button for another minute.
This takes the phone into "safe mode" where you can try deleting a problematic program before doing a soft reset by just pulling the battery out.

A Hard reset is the same process as a warm reset but you are holding the power button.  When you let go after a minute it will ask you to push up to delete all data.

I would advise not to buy another centro unless it's 100% NEW. And it's kind of hard to get these days. I think Dan might have some?

Did you try Amazon or ebay. Craigslist could be a bad choice
