Family vacation
« on: July 24, 2012, 09:43:47 PM »
Hi all,

My family wants to go away for a long weekend at the end of august, not sure where so were looking for ideas. We have points with AA, starwood, BA, Citi, Chase.

It is a 6 of us and a baby so need something that won't be too crazy with the mileage, although fi tickets are not to expensive thats also ok. And we need minyanim and kosher food if possible. We were thinking of PR, does anyone know if there is a way to rent a villa or something like that near the chabad? Somewhere where we can have a private pool?
We also wanted to go to the hamptons but seems anything near the shul to rent for a weekend is very expensive.
We were also thinking LA but it seems its very hard to get mileage tickets there for under 50k RT PP.
Were basically open to anything and a little drive is ok but not too long or would rather fly. Somewhere nice with some things to do or private beach or pool to swim. Ages are 12-25 so most things will be ok.

So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please post.

Thanks!

Thank you. How do you know with these places if it is kosher or is it need kosher? Will it be nice when you get there? Is it like a hotel or someones house the use and rent when they are away?

I would assume to be safe that its not kosher. These places have reviews so you will be able to see what other people think of that property. Sometimes its a house, sometimes its a condo and some are even associated with a specific hotel.

Would be an option although we are trying to go somewhere none of us have been, miami being the only one really, but anyway BA does not have any tickets for the days we need to go.
Thanks anyways!
