Best way to unlock AT&T iphone 4S for Israel use

I see there are items like the the R_SIM III unlock card (http://www.meritline.com/iphone-4s-unlock-card---p-82541.aspx), jailbreaking, or going to ATT and asking them to unlock. What is the most realistic way to do this? WHat are other people's experiences? It is an iphone I would probably leave in Israel. Thanks.

My BB was easily unlocked by ATT after abt 1 month of use

call att and ask them, if they do it, its a 2 min phone call and "Free"

if tht doesn't work then you'll have to look into other options

i did it on verizon, called they verified tht my account is in good standing.... and unlocked it, 2 min total

i dont think it can be done in a store, they have to unlock it on their system, then u insert a foreign sim and tht completes the unlock

jailbreaking wont usually wont allow unlock your iphone (unless you have old modem version)

best bet is to call ATT and ask nicely. unless you are still in contract

ATT refused to do it. They said that the phone has to wait until 2013 to unlock. Do I try again or what else can I do? I would rather not jailbreak it.

I got the phone from a business. They apparently tyook the sim from an old phone and moved it into the new 4S. ATT said that the phone is too new for "Apple" to allow them to unlock it. Do I try a different person or what else can I do?

Tell them you are traveling over seas and would like to use the phone there. It worked for me to unlock a cheap prepaid, and I don't have an AT&T account.
