I'm looking 2 close this card, but 1st wanted to transfer the credit line over to personal freedom.
The reps keep telling me that it can't be done.. can only transfer bus to personal when trying to approve new card, not any day I want.
Anybody know better?

So downgrade it to a free card.

I called multiple times and sm'd. but they keep saying  no, because the account isn't open 12 months.

Called to downgrade to Ink Classic or Cash, but rep. said no such option.

Is it because of the recent change of Ink cards to Visa instead of master?

Yes I just churned it. I closed my ip and ib about 7 weeks ago and just applied yesterday. After spending a total of about 1 and half hours with recon between 4 different reps only was able to get one approved. They said that since I recently opened  2 business cards even though they're closed it's still counted as them just approving it, and by allowing me a third card was already stretching my luck. They even asked me about these card that I opened and closed even when I called chase consumer recon, they wanted an explanation. So, I don't think it's a great idea to do.
