Does anyone have any info? (if there are no "real" records on your earnings, will it be better to list a high digit like $150k or low digit like $30k?)

Are you a dependant? You can list your annual household income (including you parents)

If you say a 6 digit number without any real income it'll probably raise a red flag.

There is often a separate household income line.

How about applying for
a cc when someone loses their job?? How does that work?? Because then
they technically have zero income...

I have very bad credit. I now run a business & would love to get a credit/charge card to pay bills and accumulate points.
Any suggestions?

Try to get a card from GAP or for someone related to you with good credit to add you as a joint user.

I'd still like to know from past experiences, what credit amount reported got accepted. Also, does anyone know the officially lowest amount required to get accepted. 3rd, (slightly off topic) anyone know which AMEX credit card is EASIEST to get accepted to (or are they all the same), for someone who never had an AMEX approved before, or for someone who got FR'd (me!)?
