Relaxing Vacation Within 4 hours of NYC

So.. here's the challenge:
A friend of mine is looking for a place to go for a few days to relax. He doesn't have any miles or points. He's looking for one of these places where you can get a package deal (airfare/hotel) for a decent price. Or without a package deal that wont' cost a fortune.
Any ideas.... (not Florida)
