I'm looking for a place for shabbos that can fit 6-8 couples withing 3-4hr drive from NYC. Ski lodges seem like a good idea, they have many bedrooms, Dining Room and peace and quiet. BUT most places ive looked at in the Poconos or Vermont seem really old and nasty, has anyone ever rented one that was nice and clean?

i have rented 2 times houses in the Poconos they all look about the same its not as nice as a hotel but has benefits you can arrive Thursday and cook there etc,,

Are there any kosher Hotels driving distance from Monsey for a last minute Shabbat getaway?

Or, are there any kosher Shabbat restaurants walking distance from a hotel which is driving distance from Monsey?

We haven't done anything yet for Shabbat, my DW finishes work at 1:30 p.m. we need to pack up Etc.... taking care of the food can only be done if I don't need to drive too far, do you have any ideas if I bring along food?

Personally i got some stuff from Rockland Kosher when i went away a few weeks ago. They make meals-to-go for around $10 a meal. Personally i don't need too much food, but you can always just buy what you want and bring along a hotplate.
