Which model of HP do you have? You can probably restore your laptop to the way you got it - usually some key combination when starting the computer.
How about using the hp recovery options? doesn't work either?
Right, that's what I was referring to.chff, what do you mean by "did it a few times"? isn't that what you're trying to do?or are you just trying to rewind to before the upgrade, but keeping all your stuff..
Obviously you have to reinstall the drivers. Even if you use a Dell cd to install Windows you would still require the system drivers.
when i tried downloading google chrome i got this message "the procedure entry point getprocessid could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dl.when i tried downloading avast i got this message "this application has failed to start because WINHTTP.dl was not found re-instaling the application may fix this problem

I know this thread had not been posted on for a while.... Need to reinstall Windows on wiped hard drive. I created a Windows 10 Installation bootable disk but then I need to create a different bootable media first. So I copied the Windows 10 media over to anther external drive. When I tried to make the disc bootable again from the files it would not boot. How can I make my original re-Installation disc bootable so I can reinstall Windows 10 with similar settings that I had?
