Trick is to press the last 2 at 8AM, rather than starting the call at 8AM. I had 2 people try it this morning- one pressed "2" at 8AM and had no hold times and got an appointment for today. The second called at 8AM, had a 30 min wait, and was told that the closest they have available is in VT.

Just an update. No need anymore to call in the morning unless you need the appointment that day. Otherwise you can call any time of day and appointments are currently around 10 days out. Even if same day is necessary you can call close to closing the night before (8-10pm) as next day cancellations open up. (This method may work better than morning calls these day I at least had better success with it…) and the ext. is 1,1,2

Anyone have a recommendation for a companies in Lakewood that can do the expedited passport like the Pre-Covid days? Need an expedited passport for a traveler that doesn't want to have to go down to the passport office

 A child who has a passport expiring in 5 months, traveling with his parents who have good passports. They have a flight going and return tickets a week later.
 The flight is to Israel. Would there be a chance they're going to give the family an issue about the child's passport expiring within 6 months?

For the record we just got passports for 2 kids and they were mailed to us within two weeks of submitting paperwork. This was in Brooklyn non expedited

Renewed a teen passport at PO no expedited service. Received passport approx 22 days later!

Israel allows entry with US passports expiring in under 6 months.
Some airlines may fuss.

I also made an appointment online. It's a long overdue option. I discovered that new appointments post at midnight, for the newly added day. I waited until midnight, and was able to pick any time I wanted in NY. Game changer.

No. For same day passport appointments at an agency (Philly, Manhattan etc.)

I became a US citizen this week and they announced passport wait times can be longer then before and some may come quick but they were told to let us know it can take up to 12 weeks.
So not sure who is correct here
