Qantas for OneWorld, ANA, Continental, and Air Canada for Star Alliance.
Skyteam is fairly hopeless ever since NW shut down.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I don't have an El Al account...I believe it costs money, no?

Typically it costs money to sign up as a Matmid member. But, if you are a BMI elite they may wave the registration fee and issue you a Matmid card + double status match ( although promo has officially expired, the link is still on the website).

If you want to try , send an email to yaely@elal.co.il  with copy of BMI status and request status match or at least,  the link for free registration to Matmid .

Probably a waste of time, I'm THE last guy on planet earth to have been able to sign up, as its only Yaeli herself dealing with it.

I was emailing back and forth with her, and suddenly she wrote that I missed the promo, so I said that it says a certain date limit, and according to israeli time, I still have a few mins, so I've sent my email to her at 11:59pm her time, and she replied that its okay. (Only israelis answer their business emails at such times(she works officially the regular hours)).

You can still give it a shot as you are dealing with israelis, but include copies of two boarding passes to aor from TLV.
