I got two interesting letters today:

1. EnergyPlus is offering me 25k SW for switching to them. They're a scam, and it seems they're getting desperate offering 25k.
2. BofA is thanking me for my loyalty (yeah right) and giving me a heads up that my annual fee will be billed on my net month Anyone ever see that from a CC issuer before?

1) can you post a link for the 25k sw offer?
2) why do you say its a scam?

I noticed that on my AMEX bill it also notified of an upcoming annual charge, it may have to do with the new laws.

I just opened up a umpe and then received the 65k offer in the mail. Will they match it?

Discussed a gazillion times, it's a scam (they jack your rates up). If you can cancel ASAP when the points post and your energy bill is low, it might be worth it for 20k AA.

Its about 120 month. X 2 before I cancel supposed to get 25 K IF have united card. How much do they jack it? Worth it for 25 K.
Also prepaid con ED 1k to make a spend. Will they send me a check. If so would have prepaid 2-3 K if that would work

2. I suspect con ed will work.
3. If the signup/spend bonus posts before the credit comes from ConEd (assuming they insist on crediting your CC) your bonus won't get clawed back (though the 1k-3k standard spend points might).

#1 a penny but zero is better

# 2 Don't even remember which card I used ? LOL might have closed that card already. Anyone ever do this and get a check from Con Ed ?

#3 Did anyone ever get the 20 or 25K points .

1. I meant AA! If an AA mile is worthless to you, then don't bother. Even at 1cpm it's not worth the hassle IMHO.

3. If you go through the motions I'm sure you'll get it.

4. I don't think that's known, probably keeps changing.
