Is there really that much for an frum jew to do in Rome once you knock out the churches?

Paris and Venice sounds like a nice trip...now I just need to figure out how to get both onto one *A award ticket...

again stop CO'ing or AA'ing, it is Aeroplan you need.

You could do TLV-VIE, FRA-ZRH-MUC-JFK or so, without any problem, just dictate to them which flight you are taking (after you know that its available).

they are just too happy they dont have to look for you.

calculating miles and taxes will take some 8-10 minutes (on hold), but thats it, the pc's verdict will be the regular mileage, and some taxes.

I don't have AP miles right now, so that point is moot.
But even if I did, TLV? Wouldn't that bump up the trip to their rip-off middle-east mileage pricing.

you would be able to enjoy the stuff I did (see the pics) in addition to your touristic activities.

(i must stay that the time posting those pix vs the interest of the people is a bit disproportionate, I guess, I'll spare the people next time  8) )

(I thought US residents once wanted to see what a real lounge* looks like)

* I was in CLT in the "main" US Airways lounge.... no pc, bring your own, or enter money in the money-activated pcs... only cranberry and orange juice. I only could get an alcoholic beverage because I got a voucher; besides for some non OU snacks, people had to pay for food....  oh, yess, they had some magazines, but they seemed the free type, that come in big piles, and no one bothers to read them, no official ones, such as herald, ny times, newsweek, economist, us today,.... do i need to carry on...?

Supe, the pictures are much appreciated.

And why would TLV not raise the pricing to middle-east levels? Would NRT not raise it Asia levels?

Also can you check Swiss availability JFK-ZRH in J or F departing 05/11, 12, or 13, returning 05/16, 17, or 18.

you look for 2 seats?

I thought you meant that the stops will push the mileage requirement even higher.

jfk, seems unavailable, however, as I assume you come from CLE, you could start in EWR as well.

LX seems to have zero availability, however to be sure call aeroplan. if they ask why no miles, just say ill deposit amex mr soon.

I found LH (CO is a waste, and SQ is of course n/a)

May 11   2 Pas

LH   401   JFK   16:00    FRA   05:35 +1   First Class

LH   403   EWR   17:50    FRA   07:25 +1   First Class

LH   405   JFK   21:40    FRA   11:30 +1   First Class

May 12

LH   686   FRA   10:15    TLV   15:00    First Class

Thanks,
so Swiss and Turkey appear to be out.

I can do this in F for 100K AA miles:
CLE-JFK (AA)
JFK-YYZ (LA)
YYZ-LHR (BA)
LHR-CDG (BA)
CDG-LHR (BA)
LHR-JFK (AA)
JFK-CLE (AA)

Or I can do this for 125K US miles:
CLE-EWR-FRA-CDG-FRA-EWR-CLE on CO/LH

I definitely can't squeeze in Venice on the AA itin, although on the US itin I can try to trade for Aeroplan of see what I can finagle for a stopover.

Any chance I can get the availability showing on Singapore's website or is that really just for Singapore member redemptions?

Oh, you dont need israel? lemme try to find you something.

forget SQ for the moment, you will focus on them on  a asia trip, and the other way in TG.

Besides sitting in an LX flight, ZRH isnt so important, its beautiful, but first see the classical cities.

No TLV, my main focus I think will be CDG and VCE if there's time.
Can't leave CLE until 16:00 on 05/11 and Shavuos is the main constraint on the return on the night of the 18th. I'd imagine that we'll want to be back in the US for the holiday.  Definitely won't be one of our 1 month long journeys to Hawaii...just a quick taste of Europe.

It's not worth flying SQ for JFK-FRA in J or F?
That's one of the only flights out of the US that operates on a 744 and therefore has J and F available for redemption.

its not worth messing up your trip for it, when the real thing is SQ F in A380

other airlines are rolling out with it, so I guess in a while it'll be available.

Have to go and learn, so far what I've scraped together:

May 11

LH   405   JFK   21:40    FRA   11:30 +1   First

May 12
enjoy your ksml at the lounge (you order in advance what you like, free!)
LH   4220   FRA   13:40    CDG   14:50   Business

you can take the following flight if you wish to visit the baal shem of Michelstadt, unbelievable results.

LH   4234   FRA   20:35    CDG   21:45   Business

May 13

LH   4249   CDG   17:05   MUC   18:35   eco

will very possibly open up, and in MUC they often give you the First treatment, if one segment in F

LH   4104   MUC   21:15    VCE   22:30    eco

A whole 24 hours in CDG?
Is there really nothing ado about Paris?

And is it not worth trying out SQ F on the return FRA-JFK?

to do about Paris, or in Paris? For the people that are not so much into art, and move quickly about, if you have a full day, you can see loads. if you need, I'll supply the info iy"h.

What did you mean with a whole 24h in CDG? CDG = Paris, but this you know Im sure.

If you have unlimited mileage you can do this SQ F (first let me see you find availability there), and if Krisflyer, isnt a tax reducing program, such as aeroplan, the taxes of JFK and FRA together can become the price of an economy tix all incl. between those cities....

I was just surprised that you suggest only 24 hours in Paris.  Neither of us are Art buffs, but I'd still want to see the Louvre, etc.

My question is if US would have SQ availability, or do you really need to use SQ miles to book SQ? I'll give them a call soon.

I'd be shocked if US had availability on SQ 744 more than 7 days out. Sorry for the late reply, but SQ J on the 744 is nothing special. Its the old spacebeds which LY actually has on one of their aircraft's.
