I'm home here we go 011 491805 5959 (from the usa) Its a German, regular landline.

When I call this number I get some message about Miles and More in German for 20 seconds and then it hangs up. Any idea why?

Maybe that they are closed on sunday?

They shouldn't be.
Or that the line is down.

Sorely tempted to make a new thread (actually I think a new board would be even better) for my question but there seem to be plenty of others doing it so ill just post here.

Flying into CPH (Copenhagen) on a Tues morning 7:15 and out of ZRH (Zurich) Wed night 10:55.

I originally wanted to check out Zurich but now that I'm flying into Copenhagen, I'm thinking maybe spend a day there as well. Or just go straight to Zurich and spend 2 days there?
Thoughts?

Day here, day there is fine.

Well as long as you have at least some 12 hours each.

In CPH I took from the main trainstation (next to it) a hop on/off bus.

Maybe someone familiar with ITA's engine can help you put a search together, in fact, you might be able to do it yourself, just search for airports within 300 miles of, say, LHR (see the 'Nearby' hyperlink near destination), select all airports (at the bottom of the list), and choose "See calendar of lowest fares".

One way, right?

Isn't it better to just do JFK-BOS separately (if he doesn't need the luggage checked through)?

No, round trip.
Just a matter of time until BA imposes a surcharge on that though.
He should do NYC-BOS, there's no (each way) problem checking luggage through. Jetblue is sometimes cheaper than the 4500 avios it takes.
Even from JFK at 40k it comes to about $500 roundtrip, coupled with EI's amazing availability, this is the best deal around.

If this doesn't work for some reason, fly kuwait air JFK-LHR which is often cheaper but doesn't show up on OTA's.

use BA miles. By phone only. Service charge should be waived as not bookable online.
I just saw KuwaitAir on ITA.
I don't think it shows on OTA's (expedia, orbitz etc). Even if it does, its not always. Sometimes its cheaper than everything else.

Interesting, the first day or two this made it to the blogs, they were booking it non-stop. (Reps were wondering what happened).

It is not bookable online.

The price is vaild in each direction, 12.5k BOS-DUB (each way), 20k JFK-DUB. LHR-DUB and/or JFK-BOS are 4500 avios each way. The chiddush is that by flying aer lingus u don't get hit by their surcharges, which are $700 if flying British planes.

17k amex + $100 for RT TATL is just amazing.
