Shabbos 2-3 Hours From NY
« on: July 31, 2012, 02:48:11 PM »
I didn't know whether to put this in the Poconos or Catskills posts so I decided to start a new one:

Can anyone suggest a hotel/location (would search for a place on VRBO) 2-3 hours from NY that is walking distance to a shul/minyan? My friends and I are looking to go away next week and are having trouble finding a good place to go.

Beach Haven NJ is awesome, off-peak season (but not when it's cold) isn't too pricey and very nice.

ETA: Nix that, I don't think there's a shul within walking distance, was skimming and missed that requirement.

Is there a shul there? Any hotels you would recommend that are close to the shul?

Do you mean Ohio? Or Cleveland?

Where have you been in Ohio?

Boring place :D
tell me about it. When it comes to activities there are only do many things frum people can do. So nyc has some things and ohio has others. But they share many many of the same.

I was being facetious. I can't speak for CLE/OH, but the NYC metro area has something for every interest (and then some).
