which? TA's? AFAIK it's a pain and we can't do it...maybe united reps
No offense, but I've yet to ever use a TA.

So that narrows the questions down...
They will for sure give me a bassinet seat knowing that there is no infant born yet?

Another thing is..the outbound flight the infant wont be born yet..so would the "baby goldberg" ticket get canceled? only on return will there be the infant

And one more thing...

Just did.  The agent told me they can not book an infant ticket without a name or DOB and even if I had the infants name I still wont be able to be guaranteed a bassinet seat but she can only put a request in.

HUCA?  ???

Do I ask something else?

it's not an offense, i was just asking to clarify that you meant UA reps.

and you'd be pleasantly surprised what a TA can do, yes for you, in most or almost all cases we wont help, especially with your travel habits, but sometimes we can, and for reg. fold it's def. a gain to use a TA.

I know someone flying jfk-tlv ELAL and wants to know if he can bring an UB stroller seat AND the bassinet piece and give both parts (in a bag) before entering plane?  I know you can do that with one of the two pieces...but what about both?
TIA

I plan on flying to Israel with two toddlers, two years old, twins.

Do all car seats fit into the airplane seats, or do I need to get a smaller one for the plane? I currently have one in a Britax 55 Roundabout and one in a Graco. Also has anyone used the Britax travel attachment for the car seat as opposed to the gobabyz?
http://www.amazon.com/Britax-Seat-Travel-Cart-Black/dp/B005CNEQK0/ref=sr_1_3?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1358401566&sr=1-3&keywords=car+seat+for+airplane
Finally is there any way not to have to stand in line with two kvetchy kids while renting a car? Can a family member in Israel pick the car up for me?

If you have any tips for flying with two two year olds please comment. Thank you.

We strongly regretted bringing the Britax.  It's just too heavy and bulky.
Spending $39 on Scenera as a travel carseat was worth every penny.

Thanks for that link. Does a roll away mean a carry on? And does that attach securely? it is way cheaper than the other options.

well a carry on can mean a few different things. a rollaboard is basically a mini rolling suitcase

it attaches securely and works like a dream

The GoGo baby wheels are double the price are they that much better then the britax wheels? Did you try the britax cart or the car seat?

When you say it was too bulky, did it fit into the seats on the plane comfortably? I would have to buy two of these car setas and I'm wondering if it is worth it.

Planning my next journey,  the airlines I am flying do not allow a rear-facing infant seat.
[One airline doesn't allow it at all, the other doesn't allow it over a certain weight.]

Bassinets are also too small, the airlines I am flying have 71cm or 76cm bassinets, and infant is already 78cm, and flight is two months away!

The only choice seems to be between a forward-facing carsear, or the CARES system.
To me, it seems that the CARES option is the more convenient option, but I was wondering if anyone has personal experience with this, which you would recommend. I am dealing with a couple of long-haul flights, and am looking for an option which will allow for relatively comfortable sleeping, this is really important.

Also, anyone have first-hand experience with convenient ways of transporting carseats, such as this or this.

[Mods: If you feel this warrants a new thread, please break it off.]

I don't think Rafi would sleep in CARES. Why not buy a scenara for $39 as a travel car seat and just have them fave forward when required?

I've got a Graco ComfortSport, which is also rear-facing.
But these types of convertible seats keep the child in more of a "sitting up" position.
I was hoping to be able to use a dedicated rear-facing seat, as they lie flatter.
But if I am using a convertible seat, then I don't care if it faces forward as opposed to backwards, because facing it to the rear won't make it more comfortable or more conducive to sleep.
Anyways, not much I can do about that.
I think I will just take my Graco along, I have read some reviews that CARES is not conducive to sleeping, as you said.
Thanks for the input, let me know if you have any more.

I am still hoping that someone has experience regarding this:

does anyone know if I can add a lap child for my return only on a AA award to Paris?

meaning I will fly myself the way there, and on the way back I will take child.

I don't want to add child to wifes lap since she is on a AA one-way award, (will have to pay 10% of regular one-way)

thanks.
