Anyone know if it makes a difference btw booking an infant's ticket imm upon ticketing the adults, or waiting till it's closer to the flying date?
In my case, I have tix booked using AA from DPS - TLV in biz, and the infants tik cost is sky-high.
If availability opens up, I'd book her using miles as well. So I'd like to wait to pay for her ticket until the date is closer to see if a mileage option (specifically on LY) opens up. But will I have to pay much more for her tik if I wait till the date is closer (perhaps a month or 2 out) rather than purchasing it now?

does anyone have experience flying us airways on the phl-tlv route with babies, specifically is it worth requesting bassinet seats for the extra legroom so that baby can play there or reserving 2 regular seats with 1 empty seat in the middle for car seat & hoping it stays that way?.

side note, according to seat guru"In Economy Class, rows 14-22 have 1 inch less of seat pitch and should be avoided." is this true?

How old is baby? When I flew that route in envoy my baby (around a year old) and I shared bed and it was no problem.
It's not about the quantity of your posts.  It's about the quality.

Flying to EWR-HNL with a 5 month old tomorrow on UA, and googled for a DDF wiki and got this thread - the google search indicated there was a wiki but I don't see one.

Anyone know if it exists and where I can find it?

Thanks.

You mean the links to the master threads?

I was wondering if there's a wiki that summarizes all the relevant info, but if not I'll go trough the master threads

I'm not sure about a wiki, just remembered seeing that post so I figured you might find there what you're looking for.

From Dan's article on the main site:
Quote
I’ll book us a window and aisle seat with an empty middle.  Nobody has ever taken the middle seat yet, and if they did I’m sure they’d be happy to trade for one of our seats.  At the gate I just ask the agent if the middle seat is still open for us to put the carseat in and have always been able to do that.

Even if the infant is officially traveling on your lap and doesn't officially have a seat?

worked every time for us except twice.
Once when the flight was oversold and the second was with an exceptionally retarded gate agent said it was against airline (UA) policy, and had it checked. Thankfully for a normal flight attendant who asked for it to be brought back up, we had a great flight.

Thanks everyone!

So protocol is to ask check in agent to block a seat, if they don't, try again at the gate...?

do you have it?.
The price is great but i don't like the look of it.
Firstly it looks like its gonna break the carry-on & whenever i want to take something out of my suitcase i'll have to unstrap the whole thing?

but I'd be happy to hear from someone who has used this
