Anything to know about flying with a 3 month old domestically in terms of keeping them calm?

Make sure they're chewing something, a bottle or pacifier, when you take off, and when the plane descends before landing. It takes the pressure off of their ears.

having a boppy or similar for baby to lie on if you dont have an extra seat is a lifesaver, as it frees up your hands.

I flew American on Sunday from ord, and they told us that they have a new rule for bringing strollers as carry ons. Apparently you can only bring strollers that are under 21 lbs, otherwise they need to be checked. Ours was a citi mini and was like a pound too much. We got a supervisor to allow it, but not sure how often they will allow.

Been in force for a while now (enforced sparingly). Just don't bring your stroller to check-in, go by yourself to checkin and leave wife with kid/stroller out of sight
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Query: We have a baby jogger city select equipped for our twins, that weighs 28 lb per the manual, but we deconstruct it (removing the car seats and adapters) when boarding. Never has an issue gate checking it on several flights between YYZ/NYC, but I wonder what the official policy would be.

We just flew with our Citi Mini Double GT. I opted to check it in as I didnt want to shlep it through the airport. It traveled really well. I used large zip ties to securely fasten the stroller so there was no way it would open enroute. I also fastned the front wheels together, to make sure they didn't swing around and get damaged.

We used a snap and go for the airport and to shlep the infant carseat.

I ordered a cosco booster seat from Amazon for $12, and shipped it to my destination.

All in all I was very hapy with the arrangements.

Flying to LA soon with delta glitch tickets. We will be taking along a 5 month old as a lap child. We have a UB vista and plan on taking it along with the car seat and adapter. Can we gate check the stroller?  For out first flight we are in business class. What do we do if there are no extra seats for the car seat? Can we gate check the car seat too?For our return trip we chose 2 aisle seats with the hope that the middle seat will stay empty for the car seat.

ive neve been on a flight that allowed a car seat to block a passenger from getting off on case of emergency, so if its 3 3 config, it would need to be at the window

Just flew nyc - tlv with the car seat in the aisle 3 3 config. 2 hours before we landed in TLV 2 FA came over to tell me to move it to the window when the baby wakes up....
