Oh well....

My wife wanted to change the date on the return. (we were within the 24 hrs) I warned her we would for sure lose the extra seat, but she really wanted the extra two days in Israel. When I called up to change the date, (there was no option online) the agent says there is something wrong with this reservation, you have an infant with an adult ticket she changed it and now there is no seat showing anymore. :(

You may still get lucky with an empty seat near you.

That really stinks. I guess enjoy the 2 extra days.

+1. I think a lot of people would willingly trade the extra space on the plane for 2 more days in Israel.

Assuming one has the time to spend  there and not have to be back.

Is it true that a child above the age of 2 has to be in their seat during take off and landing and can't be held on parents lap?

FA enforced it today. Never heard of it before (even on the same airline).

It's dangerous for them to be in your lap. Would you have your kid in your lap in a car?

So I'm surprised it's not always enforced.

When booking a flight on elal with AA miles, how much would a 4 month old child cost?
So if I change my Ticket to J they will automatically charge me more for Infant?
I know this is a while back, but what did you guys end up doing ? How much did they end up charging you ?
Life is as good as you make it...

This might not be the right thread for this, but does anyone in Queens have a Go-Go Babyz Travelmate (or similar) that I can borrow (8/19-26)? I don't travel enough for it to be worth buying one - it's either borrow or carry the car seat. TIA

Finally Dan's advise penetrates. I want to buy a Gogo Babyz Travelmate.

Any reason to prefer this over this one?

The latter is a 15 dollars cheaper on Amazon and the comments on Amazon seem to be more pro this one too.
But Dan always links to the former.
Anyone with experience?

In general do people actually find that most car seats fit with it?

Not talking from experience.
Here is a comparison.
They look like the same thing just the mini is a little narrower.

I read online that the mini is the new version.

Just got back from my first trip with it! Amazing!
Best part was that when we landed I didn't have to wake kid up, just strapped him to the wheels and he slept through passport control, baggage claim and most of the way home!
Thank you Dan.

We all have those times with those exact reactions, give it some time and you'll forget you swore against it
