Same here. They won't allow you to take checked baggage as @shaulyaakov said, but they will allow you to take a diaper bag. Personal experience.

IME I doubt they would even notice or say anything.  If they do maybe you can stuff the diaper bag into carry on

Recently I was flying on Southwest and while checking in the agent said that if I don't have proof of age for my infant (any age) I'll need to pay full fare.
I was never required to show proof of age buy any other airline for a domestic flight.
Good thing I already had a ticket for him
